Keynote speaker: Åsa Skogström
Åsa Skogström is the CEO of The Hunger Project in Sweden. She has a business background with 18 years of experience in marketing, sales and management, both in Sweden and internationally. Before joining The Hunger Project in 2004, she was the Marketing Director at Sony Ericsson in Germany. Åsa Skogström is also the co-founder of a women's organisation called Nätverket Göran (the Göran Network). There is a story behind this name. ING recognizes the importance of personal development, whether within a present position or towards another position. In this respect, employees are themselves responsible for (taking initiatives to support) their own development.
As a professional HRD organisation, we stimulate and support this learning and development of managers and employees at ING. We help them to perform in a more effective way, both now and in the future. We do this by offering advice and support in learning and development issues. For instance, by selecting appropriate training courses which makes it easier for an individual employee to make a choice. Or by supporting managers with tailored advice before and during large-scale changes. We constantly search for the most effective and efficient combination of learning activities.
Some of the basic principles which we apply are:
- Learning activities are work related and reflect issues encountered in daily work
- Learning is aimed at improving performance
- Learning is aimed at development and employability
- People learn in different ways
