Karel Vuursteen, chairman WWF Netherlands
As part of the Opening Ceremony on Monday morning, Karel Vuursteen will share his vision on Sustainable Development. He will also introduce the first plenary keynote speaker of the conference, Tony Frost, Chief Executive Officer of the WWF South Africa. Tony Frost will talk about understanding the world we live in and why leadership is critical at this time.

Corridor Programme:
1. Every Conference morning a networking coffee
Only one week to go and the HRD Conference 2006 will start with its first activity, the “welcome and networking coffee” on Monday 9 October from 08.30 – 09.30 hours. Also on Tuesday from 08.00 – 09.00 and on Wednesday from 09.00 - 10.00 you can enjoy the welcome of networking coffee in the Marble Hall of the Royal Tropical Institute. A unique opportunity for you to meet other professionals with different backgrounds and exchange ideas and experiences! Join us!

2. Yoga warming-up and cooling-down on Tuesday
Start your conference day on Tuesday 10 October from 08.15 to 08.45 hours in a dynamic way with yoga! Awakening in a stimulating session using your breath helping you to circulate your energy through your whole body. Tune in and warm-up in different poses and meditation resulting in a balanced mind making you ready to participate and absorb for the remains of the day.
Full with valuable insights and ‘lessons learned’ and grateful for the sharing, you are ready to put closure on the day. It’s time to allow yourself to let go of the brain-work, and to release impressions, stress and tension. Easy-going yoga poses, varied with powerful ones, and meditation exercises will give you refreshment. From 17.15 to 17.45 hours a moment of complete attention for yourself, by yourself, reconnecting body and mind. Join us!
